Way to Spain (waytospain.com) is a study app for Spain's nationality exams (CCSE and DELE A2). For anything privacy-related, contact andreyturakin@gmail.com.

Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. Before you sign in, your progress is stored under an anonymous session tied to your browser.

Study activity. Your drill answers, review schedule, journal entries, error log, exercise progress and exam simulacro results — this is the product working; it's how your progress follows you across devices.

Credits. Your credit balance and a transaction history (welcome bonus, survey reward, top-ups, speaking-session charges).

Feedback you give us. Survey answers and credit top-up requests, tied to your account so we can respond.

Basic usage analytics. Privacy-friendly page analytics via Vercel Analytics — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other websites. If payments are enabled, your card details go directly to Stripe — they never touch our servers.

When you use an AI feature — corrections, writing grading, question explanations, chat — the text you submit is sent to Anthropic to generate the response. When you use the live speaking coach, your voice conversation is processed by ElevenLabs. In both cases the data is used to provide the feature you asked for, nothing else.

Vercel (hosting and analytics), PlanetScale (database, EU region), Google (sign-in), Anthropic (AI text features), ElevenLabs (voice conversations), and Stripe (payments, when enabled). Each receives only what it needs for its job.

Only essential cookies: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies, which is why there's no cookie banner.

We keep your data while your account exists. You can export everything as a JSON file from Settings at any time, and Delete account on your Profile page permanently removes your account and all data tied to it — study history, credits, survey answers, everything.

Under the GDPR you also have the right to access, correct, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Spain, the AEPD). Email us at andreyturakin@gmail.com for anything the in-app tools don't cover.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it in the app. The date above always reflects the current version.
