The Area

Asturias is in the Green Coast region of Northern Spain. It is well known by Spaniards for the beauty of its mountains and beaches, and the hospitality of the people. It is also famous for the variety of outdoor activities, and for the opportunities offered to food lovers with its certified quality meats, seafood dishes and fresh produce cuisine. Asturias, considered the birth place of Spain, holds a rich historical patrimony, housing CELTIC ruins, unique PRE-ROMANESQUE buildings, CLASSIC EUROPEAN architecture, and a deeply rooted FOLK tradition. Oviedo, the capital city, has a population of 200,000; it is the second largest city, the first one being Gijón with 250,000 people.

We host your group in the country side of Nava, a valley in the center of Asturias. This township´s population is a bit over 5,000 people. We are located on the outskirts of Oviedo, the capital city, just about 20 minutes away. The shore is also a 20 minutes ride, and the famous mountain range of Picos de Europa is 40 minutes from us. Buses and trains to the city run every hour, and the town of Nava keeps a taxi service 24 hours a day.
