1. Is WAYTOSPAIN the right choice for me?
Mainly, those coming to Asturias to study Spanish or to spend their vacation with us are people with the following priorities:
2.
Are flights included in the cost of the tour?
Our vacations are "land only", which means that your flight arrangements are not made by us. There are a number of reasons for this. People may choose to come with us as a part of their greater European vacation, for example. People also have different travel preferences, economy, business, and so on. Additionally, there are so many discounts, last minute offers and specials on the internet that you have greater flexibility organizing your own flights.
3.
What documents do I need to bring?
The most important documents you will need are your passport and your travel insurance. We advise you make copies and leave them with someone back home in case of loss. If you are coming for the SPANISH IMMERSION CLASSES, or for our ITINERARIES and you intend to rent a car you must have a valid driver's license. Note that automatic cars are more difficult to come by than stick shifts in Europe, and tend to be a bit more expensive.
4.
What is the minimum and maximum number of people you accept in a group?
5.
What does the individual supplement cover?
The individual supplement is applied when one person in your group wants to occupy a room privately. Our prices are based on 2 people in your group sharing a room.
6.
What insurance do I need?
We require that you take out your own medical and trip cancellation insurance.
7.
What is WAYTOSPAIN cancellation policy?
If you cancel vacation or classes with WAYTOSPAIN, we will provide a full refund (less 100 Euro deposit) up to 45 days before start of vacation or classes. After that point, refunds are as indicated by the CONDITIONS of our contract.
8.
What will the weather be like?
Northern Spain is the meeting place of the temperate and Mediterranean ecosystems which give rise to a diverse range of trees, wild flowers, birds and animals. Brown bears, wolves and wild boar still inhabit some areas of Asturias. Northern Spain has a higher than average rainfall for Spain, which gives the North its green color, particularly distinct in the region of Asturias. The weather is similar to Southern England although drier and warmer, more like the California´s Bay Area.
9.
Do I need to rent a car?
If you reserve our FULL VACATION your group will be driven to all programmed visits and trips, which should take most of your day. Your evenings are usually free, and you may want to use them to relax and enjoy the area. If you want to spend some additional time in the city there is convenient public transportation, and taxi services.
If you sign up for the ITINERARIES option or Spanish IMMERSION PROGRAM you may enjoy the convenience of public transportation and taxi service, or you may decide to be more independant and rent a car. Overall, public transportation is frequent and comprehensive enough to allow you to move freely in the area.
10.
Do you offer babysitting?
Babysitting is available for 8 € an hour.
11.
Are phone calls included?
Your personal expenses, such as phone calls, are not included in the prices. There are systems of calling cards that are very affordable and convenient, and that you may purchase either in Spain or in your home country. You may also make arrangements with your cell phone company to set up a service that allows you to use your personal cell phone outside your country.
12.
What is included in Half and Full Board?
